| Thank you Renee’ for naming me a Model
Space Kids Featured Model! I’ve wanted to be a model for as long as I can
remember. My mom said I asked to be a model from the time I could talk. When I
turned 9 and was still asking to model, mom and I walked into a Boston Model
& Talent Agency and it was amazing when we walked out with a modeling
contract!
That was 3 years ago, I’m now 12 and modeling has become an exciting,
heart racing experience. I remember the first few Go-see’s, I was as nervous as
I was excited, and the feeling today is still so exciting,
I’m just not as nervous.
While Living in Boston is great, the competition is
fierce; there are few opportunities, and so many talented kids.
Along with modeling go-see’s I’ve had the chance to audition for commercials and short films. One of the most important things I’ve learned
along the way is perseverance! I’ll attend a go-see, give it my
all and push it aside. It’s a hard thing to do, but if I kept
thinking about each audition or go-see it might change how much I love doing this. My mom believes that when one door closes, another opens.
I’ve done theater, television, green screen work, print
and runway. This past May I participated in the Step into Style Fashion Show,
by Style Fashion Productions. It was an awesome experience, I
modeled clothing from a Boston Children’s Boutique and walked the runway with Miss Teen Connecticut, Miss Connecticut USA, Miss Massachusetts USA,
and Miss Teen Vermont, and it was so much fun! In June I
modeled for NESOP (New England School of Photography), it was
like getting followed around Boston by paparazzi – there were 15 or more photographers, and only three models! Opportunities like
this are wonderful because they are fun, and I get a CD of
all the photos the photography students shoot! I truly enjoy modeling, and I
hope it continues for a long time! |
